YEMEN FOUNDATION FOR CANCER CARE AND CHARITY IS PREPARING TO RECEIVE THE SEVENTH BATCH OF HOPE IN CAIRO UNDER THE AUSPICES OF MERCYRELIEF ORGANIZATION
Yemen Foundation for Cancer Care and Charity in Cairo is preparing to receive the seventh Batch of thyroid cancer patients coming from Yemen for treatment in Egypt under the auspices of the Mercyrelief Organization.
This Batch comes within the Foundation’s projects to treat thyroid cancer patients with radioactive iodine that is not available in Yemen due to war conditions.
The Foundation has started its journey in implementing this project since April 2022 with six previous Baches.
Its worth mentioning that the patients of the seventh Batch of hope, numbering 22 individuals, have arrived in Aden governorate from various governorates of Yemen Republic.
They were received at the National Foundation for Cancer Control, Aden Branch, within the coordination and cooperation between the Foundation in Cairo and the National Foundation in Aden.
It is expected that this Batch of patients will arrive Cairo tomorrow, Thursday, June 8, 2023, and they will start receiving treatment from the second day of their arrival.
Coordination has been made with a number of specialized centers for radioactive iodine therapy.
