Hajj Abdel-Wasee Hayel Saeed, Chairman of the Founders’ Council, accompanied by Ms. Thekra Al-Nono, Director of Dar Al-Hayat, Mr. Omar Abdel-Hakim Barzeq, General Director of the Foundation, and Mr. Hatem Saad, Resource Development Advisor, visited the group of Egyptian charitable banks, which includes the Egyptian Food Bank, Al-Shifa Bank, and the Clothing Bank. And the Skills Development Bank.
They were received by Dr. Moez Al-Shohdy, CEO of the Egyptian Food Banks Network, who welcomed the visit. He also toured with the Foundation’s delegation an introductory tour of the charity banks and the humanitarian services they provide to those in need in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the Foundation and charitable banks to provide food, medical support, and basic needs for cancer patients. In addition to developing patients’ skills through specialized training programs.
For his part, Mr. Omar Barzeq, Director General of the Foundation, stressed the importance of this visit as it represents an essential step towards developing joint programs that contribute to improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
He also added that the Foundation seeks to expand the scope of its services to include enhancing psychological and social support, in cooperation with specialized agencies.
This visit comes within the framework of the Yemen Foundation for Cancer Care’s efforts to strengthen its partnerships with major humanitarian institutions in Egypt, in order to provide the best possible care and support to Yemeni cancer patients who are in Egypt for treatment.
