Hajj Abdul-Wasi Hayel, Chairman of the Founding Council of the Yemen Foundation for Cancer Care, received this Monday morning, Mr. Abdul-Hamid Hamoud Al-Shamiri, President of the British Middle East Cancer Society, at the Foundation’s headquarters in Cairo.
During the meeting, ways of cooperation between the Foundation and the Association were discussed, in order to serve Yemeni cancer patients, especially thyroid cancer patients and the poorest and most needy groups. Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Shamiri provided a comprehensive explanation about the association’s areas of interest and the horizons through which joint cooperation programs can be developed.
For his part, Hajj Abdul Waseeh Hayel expressed his aspiration to mobilize all activities concerned with cancer patients, stressing the importance of cooperation to enhance efforts made to support Yemeni cancer patients.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Dhikra Al-Nono, Director of Dar Al-Hayat, and Mr. Omar Barzeq, Director-General of the Foundation.
