Yemen For Cancer Care& Charity Foundation in Cairo welcomed ” Hope Group 5 and 6″, consisting of needy patients with thyroid cancer, in the Arab Republic of Egypt which comes under the regular and approved program of radioactive iodine treatment, that is unavailable in Yemen
These two groups were provided with medical grants by the Yemen Foundation in partnership with the Kuwaiti Women’s philanthropic Team,, as a joint effort between the two organizations in humanitarian work.
It is worth mentioning that the Foundation, along with its partners, took care of all medical expenses for the two groups, including ((travel tickets, specialized medical treatment costs, full hosting expenses, and accommodation until their return.
Twenty medical cases were selected from the beneficiaries’ list for February 2023, based on medical conditions and criteria set by the medical committee in Egypt and the coordination unit of the Foundation in Yemen.
The first group of patients will start receiving treatment doses at specialized medical centers in Egypt from tomorrow, Monday, February 27, 2023, based on prior coordination with the Foundation.
The Foundation started implementing the ” Hope Group” project in July of the previous year 2022, for 123 Yemeni thyroid cancer patients along with their companions.
The honorable reception of “” Hope Group 5 and 6″, was attended by Ms. Thikra Al-Nunu, the Deputy Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Abdul-Munim Al-Shammari, the General Manager of the Foundation, and all the Foundation’s staff.
