Mrs Thikra Al-Nono, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yemen Foundation for Cancer Care and Director of Dar Al-Hayat, along with Professor Omar Barzeeq, General Director of the Foundation, received Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, the Yemeni Cultural Attaché in Cairo.
In the meeting, Mr. Barzeeq welcomed Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban’s visit to the Foundation and its health and humanitarian services and activities provided to cancer patients and their companions coming to the Arab Republic of Egypt for treatment.
Al-Sabban also listened to a detailed explanation of the extent of the suffering faced by cancer patients coming to Egypt for treatment, and the Foundation’s contributions to alleviating the financial and psychological burdens on these patients through the health services it provides to patients since the Foundation’s inception in April 2022 until today.
The Director General of the Foundation, Omar Barzeq, reviewed the health and humanitarian projects provided by the Foundation and is working to expand their scope through an institutional work system based on partnerships and cooperation with Egyptian hospitals and health centers and other success partners, especially with regard to treatment with radioactive iodine and atomic scanning, which is not available in Yemen due to the ban Yemen is subjected to.
For his part, Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban praised the great work carried out by the Foundation and the videos he watched of the Foundation’s activities and the extent of the expansion of the Foundation’s services during the past period.
Considering that what the organization has achieved is a great success resulting from the efforts made by the organization’s leadership, as well as the sound planning and great transparency it adopts in its service projects for cancer patients.
He also explained that he would invite owners and principals of Yemeni schools to visit the Foundation and see its humanitarian programs closely in order to cooperate with cancer patients, whether residing in Dar Al Hayat or those who frequent the Foundation to obtain its services.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Qawi Al-Qaisi, advisor to the Foundation, and Dr. Mutahar Al-Rayda, Director of Media and Public Relations.
