Cairo –

The Yemen Foundation for Cancer Patients Care in Cairo announced the conclusion of the third phase of its Humanitarian Cases Treatment Project, generously funded by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) in cooperation with Qatar Charity.

Throughout its three phases, the project has had a tangible impact in alleviating the suffering of Yemeni cancer patients, with a total of 100 humanitarian cases from the most vulnerable groups benefiting so far.

The initiative is considered one of the Foundation’s most prominent humanitarian programs, offering comprehensive medical grants that cover the full patient journey—from facilitating patient transfers from Yemen to Egypt, to providing housing, food, treatment, and medication, in addition to awareness programs, psychological support sessions, and recreational activities aimed at improving patients’ mental and social well-being.

In a statement, Mr. Omar Abdulhakim Barziq, General Manager of the Foundation in Cairo, said:

“Thanks to Allah, we have successfully concluded the third phase of the Humanitarian Cases Treatment Project, which builds on the joint efforts of our partners at Qatar Charity and the Qatar Fund for Development. Through this initiative, we were able to provide essential care for dozens of patients who could not afford treatment abroad.”

He added:

“We are now preparing to receive a new group of patients as part of the upcoming phase, God willing, and we reaffirm our full commitment to continuing this humanitarian path in service of Yemeni cancer patients from the most vulnerable groups.”

Mr. Barziq concluded by extending his deep gratitude to the Qatar Fund for Development for its generous and continuous support, stressing that this humanitarian partnership represents a beacon of hope for many families battling cancer under dire living conditions.
